Coordinated Control of Three Single–Phase BESS Inverters Using Local Measurements to Mitigate Voltage Unbalance

This article proposes a control algorithm for single-phase battery inverters to provide voltage unbalance compensation in distribution networks with high penetration of photovoltaic panels and electric vehicles. A typical system is studied quantify the impact loads generating units on levels, identify conditions that lead highest unbalance. Voltage then performed by regulating active reactive power exchange between three energy storage grid. The proposed strategy consists an upper level coordinate sending reference signals, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) regulate each inverter Simulation results show effectiveness this approach depends location where are installed. positive methodology balancing flow reducing transformer zero-sequence current also demonstrated.
